Mission

Considering the challenges in rural areas, Sankalp has set its mission on creating opportunities of gainful self-employment for the rural families, especially disadvantaged sections, ensuring sustainable livelihood, enriched environment, improved quality of life and good human values.

This is being reached through development research, effective use of local resources, extension of appropriate technologies and up gradation of skills and capabilities with community participation.

Vision

To actively contribute to the social and economic development of the communities in which we operate. In doing so, build a better, sustainable way of life for the weaker sections of the society and raise the country’s human development index.

Objective

The focus of our organization is on the all-round development of the communities located mostly in rural areas. These initiatives have also aim to accord priority to activities pertaining to inclusive growth of the society.

Achievements

  • Provide Training to farmers for maximization of Income:
We also organize workshops for farmers and also discussed about the investment plans which help in maximize their earning in safe and secure way with low risk factor. Our organization also ties up with Banks and some CSR agencies which also work on the well-being society.
  • Promoting Savings and internal Credit:
The program should promote system of regular savings amongst the community members. In addition to this, instead of providing loan directly to the members, it should facilitate internal lending amongst the members from their regular savings. In case the loan needs to be provided from the program, the same should be routed through the group so that the entire group takes the responsibility.
  • Capacity Building:
The program should focus on the capacity building of the target communities in the area of intervention. This would ensure that the program can withdraw after some time.
  • Developing Institutions:
The program should now strive to focus on building sustainable institutions at the grass roots so that the processes are completely owned and run by the community. For this organization need to be focus upon SHGs, Gram Sabha and different Users Groups.
